Dopibara's body is so sturdy that it can withstand attacks without even noticing. Because of this, it is oblivious to its surroundings and only cares about eating and sleeping.
Name origin: dopey + capybara
I wanted Dopibara to be the largest early rodent on pokengine, to match how capybaras are the largest rodents in real life. Furret's length is a bit of an obstacle, but I settled for a 3-way tie between Dopibara, Mousummit and Muncheek. Its signature ability was originally Double Dip, which doubled the effects of berries. Gamefreak released Ripen, and eventually I settled for turning it into Taste Buds, reflecting how capybaras are seen as peaceful company to other animals.
