Design Notes from BW2:
Thanks to the previous protagonist and Alder, and thanks to his journey with Reshiram/Zekrom, their relationship and distance have changed, but he recognizes that people and Pokemon are meant to help each other.
As a result, he is now able to listen to other people's stories.
However, perhaps because he is a genius or because of his unusual upbringing, his aura and his tendency to speak quickly remain unchanged.
He is grateful to the previous protagonist, and has begun to feel the desire to tell him directly.
