Wears modified sunglasses with head-mounted display function (these sunglasses have the function of monitoring the energy possessed by X and Y), a common equipment for scientists.

Male. 55-60 years old. Short hair with white hair and bald spots. Mustache. Deeply carved face with noticeable wrinkles. Gives an impression of being cunning and violent. Reminiscent of Dennis Hopper in his later years.

The closest aide to the Boss. The first person to join Team Flare. Originally an energy scientist. A leading researcher in environmental energy and natural science. He met the Boss when his theories were not accepted and he was despairing of the world. In some ways, he thinks of the ambitious Boss as his son. He is the world's leader among scientists. He is somewhat rough and hides his cunning behind a rough tone of voice. He uses "ore" as his first person pronoun. He does not speak in an old-man tone such as "ja". He mainly uses steel-type Pokemon. He is also a user of Mega Kairos.
